Connect compatible WLED and permanent lights in your Bright Home Lights cloud account to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok. Choose an assistant below for setup and connection help.
Use your existing BHL account to connect the assistant and choose which devices and presets it can access. Availability depends on the assistant, account, region and organization settings. Saving access settings in the BHL app alone does not complete the connection.

ChatGPT WLED setup guide →Add BHL as a custom app in Gemini where available. Check Google account, age, region and activity requirements first.
Gemini WLED setup guide →Connect through the published Bright Home Lights Community listing in Claude. Community connectors are not verified by Anthropic.
Claude WLED setup guide →Set up a custom MCP connector with Grok Business or Enterprise team-admin provisioning. This is not a Grok catalog listing.
Grok WLED setup guide →Control compatible WLED lights connected to your Bright Home Lights cloud account using natural language. Devices must be connected to your BHL cloud account and enabled for AI access. A standalone local WLED controller is not automatically accessible through the BHL MCP connector; support depends on the device and firmware. This connection does not provide arbitrary raw WLED commands.
For permanent Christmas lights, roofline lighting or everyday outdoor lighting, begin by checking which devices the assistant can access. Name the device in your request, then ask for a supported color, brightness or saved preset. Each device operation targets one device; changes to multiple devices are applied separately.
Need to prepare your controller? See controller Wi-Fi setup, WLED LED count and segments, and the Bright Home Lights app guide.
Start with “Which Bright Home Lights devices can you access?” After checking the device names, try “Set my roofline lights to blue at 40%” or “Apply my saved Christmas preset to the front roofline.” Substitute a device and preset from your account. Lighting requests change your lights.
Supported actions include checking device status, adjusting lighting, using saved presets, and managing supported schedules. Permissions, connectivity and the specific action determine what is available. The individual guides explain capabilities and limits; custom pixel editing and arbitrary effects are not assumed.
These instructions connect the assistant to BHL, not directly to an arbitrary WLED server. Your controller must be supported, available through your BHL account, and enabled for AI access. Contact BHL support if you are unsure about your existing controller.
Start by checking whether your existing BHL devices appear in the app and can be enabled for AI access. A supported existing system can use the connection without replacing the lights. Hardware and firmware compatibility still apply.
BHL device and preset access settings apply across assistants connected to your BHL account. Complete account linking separately in each assistant.
No. Assistant features vary by country, account and subscription. Each setup guide states the relevant requirements. The guides are publicly available, but availability of an integration is controlled by its provider.
